If you have PL you can bypass the 2 second keyup delay on the Autopatch repeaters by enabling an 88.5 PL tone. Those without PL will still have access to the machines, but will still have the 2 second key up delay and will need to key up for two seconds before speaking, to avoid chopping off the first words
